This policy was last updated in August 2023 by our Data Champion. Our Flip Computing Data Champion was appointed to ensure that data is handled in accordance with applicable laws.

Comments

We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office as a data controller as we process some personal data. Personal data is information that can identify an individual. Where possible we use anonymised data and personal data is used largely to enable us to contact our community.

If you purchase one of our products, share projects with us that are linked to accounts created on third-party systems, remix our projects, or enquire about our services then we will retain the relevant information only for as long as is needed within the bounds of the law.

Media

Images are important to us to spotlight underrepresented groups in tech and showcase our work. We gain image consent from individuals captured in our images but this consent can be withdrawn at any time without reason by contacting info@flipcomputing.com.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

We use Google Analytics to analyse anonymised traffic to our website so that we can improve our website and resources. Google Analytics cookies are kept on your device for two years but can be deleted at any time. We have not given consent for Google to use this data for analytics across their services and products.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

We will not hold information for longer than is needed for the purpose it was collected or for longer than is required by law.

What rights do you have over your data

You can request access to any personal information we hold about you and request that any inaccurate information be amended. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

For each of these scenarios please contact info@flipcomputing.com or write to us at Flip Computing Ltd, 36 Scotts Road, Bromley, BR1 3QD.
