Activity

There are lots of ways that you can use your body to create drum beat sounds. You could:

  • open your mouth and tap the sides
    with your hands
  • clap
  • click fingers
  • tap your knee
  • stomp your feet (one or both)
  • tap your shoulders

Perform one of your pre-prepared moves and ask the makers to copy.

Repeat for each pre-prepared move then string a few moves together to make a sequence.

Build on this

Ask your makers to come up with their own moves and sequences. You can then perform them as a whole group or small groups can do a showcase in turn.
