Pass the ball
Groups work out a pattern for passing a ball.
A ball or rolled up piece of paper

Activity time: 10 minutes
Activity
Stand groups in a circle. One person in each group is chosen to start.
They must throw the ball to someone else in the circle but it can’t be someone immediately next to them.
This continues until everyone in the circle has caught and thrown the ball. You are not allowed to throw to someone who has already caught the ball.
Groups must work as a team to find out a pattern that meets these rules.
Build on this
Add challenge by adding a second and third ball to see if they can keep the pattern going.
